88, 96, and 102mm long. The 102 being about 30mm wide.. Funny how thats what we all now consider standard, back then a bunch of pro skaters who were in the world industries office at the time chose these from trying all three of them. I mean, how long were 26mm all people rode? then 28mm came in and that was 'wide', now a 28mm is almost thought of as thin, haha.. 12 years ago someone had the idea to make a board the size we use today, and ultimately chose another one, which lead to the start of tech deck. They're fascinating to see, you can see a few more pics here.
One other cool thing.. look at the trucks!
I mean, how epic is that? A lot nicer than current td ones! They're most likely hand sanded though, so, I guess thats probably got a lot to do with it. Nonetheless, a great piece of history to witness, especially for those of you who aren't as old as me and don't remember the tech deck stuff of the early 2000s, which is when I first saw a fingerboard. Look at it, then look at your setup. Amazing what we've accomplished in 12 years.
In another 12 years, we'll look back at what we have now, and that'll seem like a piece of history too. Long live fingerboarding :)
