Motive Inside

So, motive has always had some great products that look really well made. CNC decks always look perfect, and now Colin has a new machinist to do the work so he can keep prices even lower.

CNC work, if at a good price, is a great way to make decks quickly and perfectly. Its great to think if you buy a motive, its always going to be the same standard, unlike some handmade decks. But, there's at the same time less charm to a CNC deck, its less 'personal'. I think thats a sign of the times with fingerboarding, so many people do it that no company can go really big and not CNC decks, pretty much. I cant imagine how many berlinwood make! Not that its at all bad, its just a fact, we're not a small like, under 100 people community any more. And, Colin, like many companies, does a lot of work towards the decks also:

That's 100 hand sanded decks. I'm sure thats gotta hurt your hands, haha.. They look really nice, the christmas stock should sell fast! I don't know what price they'll be, but if a custom is 16 dollars, probably like.. 12 for a non custom?

Anyway, great stuff from motive, as always. Still yet to try a deck, will have to change that soon! Check out this thread on ffi for more pictures of the CNC process and a little peek into motive history (really quite interesting), or just check out their website :)
