Airflo Summer Tour 2014

I'm seriously hyped to hear more on this, because it's honestly one of the coolest DIY projects being done in fingerboarding.

Airflo embarked on their summer tour this year and from all the videos and reports, it was pretty amazing, especially considering Airflo are far from a company taking in money like Flatface or Blackriver. The planning for the 2014 tour is on the way, and this is a rough map of what's going down. If you can get to it, be there! There's gonna be fundraising for it too, I'm gonna try my best to support - there's a lot of lame things in fingerboarding these days so it's important to support those who push true fingerboarding 110%.

Yellowood x Furia Park

If you've never seen any of their previous works, Yellowood have built some amazing parks for communities such as schools and skateparks. The latest?


These two pictures don't even do this close to justice, so go check out the whole gallery of this amazing park on facebook. Soo much detail and realism, and at the same time a really simple and fun vibe to it, I love how 'less is more' totally reigns supreme here, in the best way possible. Plus loads of reg/switch symmetry to tie it off, I'd love to ride it!

Yellowood 6 Year GOS

This is awesome, really makes you think how far fingerboarding has come seeing this.

Six years of Yellowood? Apparently so, I don't know if it's on that day or if it's that week or what, but either way there's a rad GOS weekend on the 28th of this month at the Ystore. I'm sure for such a big occasion it'll be rad, so be there!

Oakstagram

I know we've seen loads of this bowl during it's creation, but it's still far too good to not get another oogle at.

Which comes in the way of a little overview video on Oak's instagram. The Pateo looks rad, and as they've got their event coming up at the end of the month, you'd struggle to find an excuse not to make it. I'm soo jealous of everyone who gets to ride that!

Ystore Update

I'm sure everyone knows one of the best things about going to the Ystore is that there's always the amazing parks/plazas there. Well..

The Ystore Dark Plaza just got a new spot added to it! I'm sure we'll end up seeing a new video on this soon, but for now this picture looks rad, I love how they take such simple pieces of marble/concrete and end up turning it into something mindblowingly good. If you can ever get there, do so.

I think projects like this are really fun, especially as fingerboard photography is not only nice to look at, but often hard to find in a consolidated place.

Welcome to Scene! A project by UK guys James, George, Will, and Swenglish celebrity/Weca mastermind Axel W. It's a fingerboard photography and news tumblr, mainly focusing on photography and the lifestyle of fingerboarding, whilst having fun at the same time. I'm not so much into tumblr but this looks cool, in my books it's always good to see friends putting in a collective effort for a project whether it's huge or not. Check it out!

Frost New Team Riders

Being how stoked I was with the new Frost decks, I'm pretty hyped to see that there's more than just products coming from them.

Two new team riders announced on the Frost team thanks to this picture that surfaced on instagram - props to these two guys for getting on the team. I assume this was just invites as I didn't see any tryouts or anything, but that's generally how team riders get picked up and probably how it always should be. Would be awesome if they did a team montage now.. Not at all a hint or anything.

Compiny New Site Soon

I've not seen much from Compiny recently, and it seems there's a good reason for that.

BeastPants Welcomes

Always good to see teams get new riders, although this one has me slightly jealous, haha..

Getting BeastPants decks for free? I know that's far from the main purpose of sponsorship but still, big props to Darian N, welcome him to the BeastPants team! Darian always puts down some nice stuff so whilst I don't think a welcome video is out yet, I really hope we see one soon.

Oak In Progress

Oak have shown a bunch of pictures of this bowl throughout the stages of it's making, but none that have me more hyped than this.

How nice does that look.. I have no words really. Amazing stuff from Oak, seems they can not only make epic wheels, but perfect ramps to shred them on. This is going to be perfect when it's finished!

Cyclone

Cyclone is active again? I know this is something I end up saying every half a year as they appear, stay for a while, then disappear again, but still..

At least we can enjoy it whilst it lasts? I really like seeing new stuff from Cyclone, and it seems there's a lot planned over from the UK media masters as well as taking some time to completely restyle their team. I cant wait to see what's new, but in the meantime reading what's there is definitely not a bad thing.

Mars Hill Welcomes

This isn't news to many of us in the 'know' as it's technically been true since february, but still..

Public announcement of Danny H being on the Mars Hill team! Welcome him on, he's a UK legend who definitely deserves to be hooked up more, it's good to see him film too even if it's not super shiny HD like most people expect these days. Too good.

Fingercan 3 Years

I'm sure all you Spanish people know of Fingercan if not many others too, it's a pretty cool site.

And is now 3 years old? Happy Birthday Fingercan! I didn't know Fingercan was only a few weeks younger than unite, pretty cool that both projects started the same month and the same year. I cant say I check out Fingercan loads due to the language barrier, but knowing solid sites supporting our scene have been around for this long is definitely a good thing. Props!

Mars Hill Park

I'm really hyped on this, not only because it's a new park coming up, but because of who's it is.

Chris aka Mars Hill is making a concrete park, which is a) looking really good, and b) should be available for everyone to ride at some point. I am just guessing here but Chris finds his way to all the big UK events, and looking at the size of this park I could imagine it coming down with them. Who knows, but either way I cant wait to see this finished!

Fingerpark Kladno

I think this is one of the coolest things I've ever seen, I've followed it a bit as it went along so seeing it finished is rad.



The park at Kladno is finished! This amazing park is work of Petr and the Big construction people, which is a full replica of Kladno skatepark in Czech Republic. The good thing? It lives now at Kladno, and is always there for people to go and fingerboard on. Such a rad looking park, and not only are there nice pictures of it, but a whole story following it's construction. Plus the fact that they did it for nothing more than the love of the fingerboard community, they weren't hired to do it? Biggest props ever. Hopefully I'll make it there one day!

Yellowood Welcomes

It's always good to see new riders on teams, especially when it's a team already as good as the Yellowood team.

Welcome Henrique M to Yellowood! Also to Ytrucks and Ywheels by the looks of it, it's good to see someone repping for the whole family of products, and I guess by all that you can assume he totally deserves it. I don't think I've seen footage from him before, but sometimes local riders barely film and still absolutely rip - besides, Yellowood certainly know what they're doing, haha..

Blosom On Ampersands

I've always been loving Ampersands, UK grown and doing awesome stuff all the time to promote fingerboarding. Soo..

Seeing that mr Blosom himself is now a member of Ampersands.. Awesome! Apparently there's collaborations may exist one day too, which I couldn't be more happy about. If the old Ampersands x Redemption boards are anything to go on, these are gonna be soo nice. Regardless, I'm just stoked to see another member to a great community. Props guys!
