I'm sure most of you who've been following Todd from No Comply's 'Tuesdays With Todd' video segments once a week (which, if you're not, you're missing out on a great weekly video) have heard of Project Revo, formerly named project FAIS. This video finally unveils the details, at around 6-7 minutes in. Watch.
Surprised? Yes, I was too. Very surprised it wasn't as such fingerboarding related, but finger blading. You might think 'ahhh, thats lame! It takes no skill!', and whilst I can agree jumping on blades is a ton easier than doing an ollie, its still really cool. I love fingersports of all varieties, they're really fascinating. I think it stems from liking models, miniature things have always been a love of mine. And with a love of skateboarding, a model skateboard just appealed to me even more, and thats how I came to love fingerboarding I suppose. Finger blading seems just as fun for me, its not about being the best, its just about having a laugh! I know those Art Of Rolling blades are available, but I never picked any up because they look good, but, not as amazing as they could be made. Revo is set to up the game, adding bearing wheels, proper sole plates, and eventually proper boots, for finger inlines. I plan to pick up a set, definitely. The sole plates + wheels will be out soon, and boots sometime in the future, hopefully not too long down the line.
He also announces in this video the new people to be added to the no comply team! Congratulations to everyone who made it, seems the team is getting better and better all the time. A great team to match a great company.
Some people might be disappointed Todd didn't come up with something new for fingerboarding, but, thats a silly way to look at it. Its something new, its something fun, and overall its getting more people into fingersports. and the more people who do that, the more people will likely end up enjoying fingerboarding! So, yea, huge props to Todd, for making yet another great, innovative product. The man is an idea machine! :)
