Those of you who are from the UK, or who are regular readers here, will most likely remember me posting some info on meet ups that happened in October in Manchester. There were two, the 24th and 26th. I was stoked to have unite behind these really fun times, even if I couldn't make it up to be there in person. Thom McInally made this great montage from the two days. Check it out:
Looked such an amazing chilled and fun time! Chilled literally as well, it was probably fairly cold outside.. As I'm sure you've almost all discovered by now, fingerboarding with cold hands doesn't work, your fingers don't move, haha.. So, mad props for them pulling off any tricks at all outside! The spots look really fun and interesting too, I cant wait to go up to Manchester (thats what MCR stands for btw, we're not all huge my chemical romance supporters or something! (off topic: Have you seen their hair now? Looks funny XD)) in february, see all of my friends, and have some great seshes on these outdoor spots.
The video features : Eddie Sharples, Danny Hynam, Jonny Sivel, Tom Colbert and Thom McInally, if you were wondering. All awesome people who make the UK scene great, especially now that its finally getting bigger and bigger, with even bigger stuff on the horizon!
Whether you care about the UK or think we're just an off shoot of america (I think thats probably half the fingerboarding world's view on us because speak 'american' (don't get me started, haha)), meet ups like these are great fun, and more people should do it. You don't need an incentive of free things to go have fun fingerboarding with friends! Busses + trains aren't THAT expensive, so get on one, and go have some good times :)
Huge props to Thom for organising these meet ups and helping the UK scene grow, as well as making a bunch of friends have a great time!
