First, look at an amazing company - Yellowood.
We all know Yellowood, they've been pushing fingerboading and making great stuff for years. Rewind a few years and you may (if you were around then) remember a shady company called Kikz. The decks were carbon copies of Yellowood's shape, etc. Well, that company died, but out of its ashes a new company was born. The owner could have taken a step away from the mistakes he made copying Yellowood, afterall a lot of companies have made mistakes in the past (who remembers Redemption's old name? haha..) But did he? No. He basically went even further on his conquest to rip off Yellowood. Look.
Its just soo much of a rip off its untrue. And this isn't about Yellowood loosing sales, because no only can most people see these are bad rip offs, but this is about the principle. The very idea that a company has, in the words of someone on FFI 'no testicular fortitude' to the extent that they just blatantly rip off a company? How many colours are there in the world? Oh, I know, let's make similar packaging, similar logos, designs, vibes, and then use the same ply colours too? Oh, and the same deck profile whilst we're at it. AND THEN.. Get this, this is hilarious.. guess what their version of slim tape is called.. SLIME tape. I'm serious! They just added an E. Sorry guys, I'm going to quit unite to make a company called ripe tape, and then make decks the same as berlinwoods called bristolwoods. Haha..
I don't get how people have the ordacity to do this, but they have. I'm not going to tell you this company's name (you can look at the pictures though), or their website - I cant tell you what to do either, and I don't want you to direct hate to these people, because that'd be pointless. But as a lot of you read here every day, trust me on this and do yourselves a favour. Support the innovators, not the imitators.
