Woob Deck Review

These decks are super interesting and very unique in their shape, so I was really excited to review mine and see what all the fuss was about. Interested? Well, here's my review! Pictures first, I set this up with BRTs, Grand Wheels, and China tape.

Shipping was normal, a week or so US -> Uk. All arrived in a bubble mailer and was in perfect condition. 10/10

First impressions
, I was soo hyped on this deck. I was told it was 'used', but it looked 100% brand new so I'm not sure what that was about, maybe used for 5 minutes but nothing more. The shape and craftsmanship were soo good from first glance, and it had a rad purple bottom to top it all off. 10/10

Craftsmanship
on these decks is flawless, they're not only pressed perfectly, shaped perfectly, and rounded perfectly, but the holes are all spot on too. I cant find a single thing wrong with it craftsmanship wise, and as such setup was absolutely effortless. Just how a deck should be. 10/10

Performance
of this is super interesting. Being a 92x32mm deck, it's super short and has a much shorter wheelbase, so it's definitely a big difference to standard decks. Is it nicer? Well, I'm not sure nicer is the word, but it's just a different feel. It made a lot of tricks flow more, but then catching things felt a bit awkward at times. However I was shocked that not only does it pack a ton of pop for being soo small, but it didn't take me any time at all to get used to, I was popping out all my tricks in no time. Durability wise it's only scratched a little bit, something that almost every deck I've ridden will do over time, and it's far from trashed at any rate. There's a lot of power in this tiny board! 9.5/10

Overall
these are amazing, but I do think it's worth pointing out that whilst the performance is fantastic, I still prefer a normal length board. We've all gone for wider and wider boards over the years to help with catching, and whilst these are far from difficult by any means to use, I think after throwing down loads of flip grind combos the extra length of a normal board makes catching into grinds a bit easier. Don't get me wrong, this is still amazing to use, but I think shorter boards are more akin to miniramp and carving than street tricks. This does a very good job of bridging the gap, as well as being one of the most fun decks I've ever ridden - so overall I'm a huge fan. Just know if you're going to make one of these your main decks, despite how well made and fantastic to ride they are, there might be a transition before you're fully used to catching a shorter board in the same way you would a normal length one. 9.5/10
