Shipping was pretty quick, like a week US -> UK. It arrived nicely packaged and was in perfect condition. 10/10
First impressions I was totally blown away by the bottom ply. Gunner (the owner) said he'd make me something that'd be amazing, and that was definitely the case, it's such a crazy split that also looks different depending on what light you look at it in. Not to mention everything else about the deck looked great too? 10/10
Craftsmanship on this deck is pretty much flawless. The shaping is perfectly consistent all the way around, the deck is really nicely and evenly pressed, and the holes are all aligned and centred, too - which meant setup was effortless. The lacquer did look a bit thick though. 9.5/10
Performance of this deck is pretty nice. The shape isn't my preference, I'm into mellow decks but I can normally get on with a medium, however the kicks on this are more medium-high than medium, so I had a bit of difficulty with it. That said, I got used to is straight away and managed to get my tricks down with ease, however it almost had too much pop? The kicks mixed with the fact that it's a super solid and really crispy, poppy deck meant that sometimes tricks went too high, and it was too hard to control them. Not all the time, far from it, but it did happen. Whether that's just because I'm used to more mellow decks remains to be seen, I guess a lot of anyone's experience with a deck is their own personal preference. The only other thing I say bad is that the lacquer does scratch a fair bit, even if you cant see it in the pictures very well it took a fair beating. That's purely aesthetic however, and I think this deck could last for a long time because otherwise in terms of performance it's extremely solid. 8.75/10
Overall I think this deck is great, and whilst I couldn't personally love it's shape, the same could be said for others about decks I'd love. Performance is always subjective, and I think there are enough amazing points about this deck such as craftsmanship, solid feel, and pop that more than make up for me not liking it's kick height. And that said, I did still find it really fun to use and managed to get all my tricks down pretty much straight away - just sometimes couldn't control them as much as I'd like. However if you like medium decks and want to try something new, I definitely recommend you give these a look. 9.25/10
