Finga Deck Review

Finga decks are something I've always wanted to try, so I was really stoked to get mine recently, and thoroughly enjoyed reviewing it. Interested in how it faired? Read on! First picures, I set this up with BRR Trucks, Winkler Wheels, and Finga Tape.

Shipping
was really quick, literally one day (not including a sunday) from Czech to UK, which is crazy. Not even sure how they did that! All arrived in perfect condition too. 10/10

First impressions
I was stoked on this engraving! Really amazing quality on it, and I loved the colour and shape of the deck too, I could tell instantly it was something I'd enjoy riding. 10/10

Craftsmanship
on these decks is really nice. Super shiny decks with great plies, really nicely pressed, and perfect holes to top it off. I'm not sure how they do the engraving/burning of the letters for the design on the deck but however that's done, it's also really impressive. Really hard to fault these decks. 10/10

Performance
thankfully lives up to the rest of the scores so far, it's really nice to use. A 30mm deck so it did take a bit of getting used to, but not as much as I expected and soon I had all my tricks going down on it. The concave is nice and allows for some nice catches, and even though the wheelbase is a bit longer than I'm used to I didn't find any problems using it. It's a poppy, snappy, responsive deck to put it simply. However one downfall is the lacquer - it's thick, shiny, but a bit too much soo and unfortunately it scrapes off and marks fairly easily, however if you like decks to look used as you ride them that could be a good thing! 9.5/10

Overall
I was really impressed with this deck. I'm finding it really hard to find a fault in the deck other than the lacquer issue, otherwise you get a really nice performing deck that's got a sick design to go with it. Unfortunately it's only a 30mm, I don't think Finga do 32mm but if they ever did I'd suggest everyone dive at the chance - and for all of you who are into 30mm decks (or thinner) these are highly recommended. Just don't expect it to last forever without some smudges. 9.75/10
