Shipping was the standard, around a week from Germany to the UK, and came in a nice box along with a huge order of stock I got for Fingersized. No problems here. 10/10
First impressions I was stoked that I got the white colour, as they're probably my favourite colour of coloured Blackriver trucks! I previously had a set of the white coloured 29mms, and they go soo well with white wheels that I had to set these up the same. Great looks, great quality, I personally don't think any truck in fingerboarding looks as nice as a chrome Blackriver truck, the details like the engraved baseplates are just amazing. 10/10
Craftsmanship is perfect on these, obviously they're machine made (or, I assume) but I've not seen a single flaw with any of the pairs I've ever got, be it 29mm or 32mm trucks. The paint is super smooth and the chrome is always really shiny. And I've never had an issue with setup either, not since 2.0s came out anyway, but 1.0s haven't been sold for a good few years so that's a thing of the past. One other thing I love to do with setup is the baseplates, as they're fairly thin (not to the point they'd break) it means your screws go in much easier, whilst still having plenty of thread to stay in place. 10/10
Performance of these trucks is amazing! I will say for those who like loose, get TKYs or No Logo bushings or Flatface team bushings, as the stock bushings wont go loose until they've been riden quite a lot, and even then they barely go loose as they're a medium hard material. That's basically the only bad thing about these, that there's no super loose option right out the box, as otherwise you get trucks that turn amazingly (the pivot cup flows soo nicely and the trucks spring back into place), super smooth grinds, and a wheel system that allows wheels to spin only on the bearing, just like with a skateboard wheel, which when put on for me is the smoothest wheel system out there. The paint also seems to last quite a long time, it's just starting to scratch on my white trucks but I had a set before that were literally indesructable, however I think normally they'll scratch - as to be expected with any coloured truck. 9.5/10
Overall these trucks are great, I personally wouldn't ride anything else as the turning, smooth grinds, and long lasting, light weight construction of them make them for me a perfect truck. Yes you should buy some new bushings if you're a loose rider, but to me that's a standard with almost any truck (although I suppose not Ytrucks). In the box you get great hardware, a nice tool, and trucks that'll last a long time. I've heard people on forums complain and there seems to be some thought that these don't last - but take it from someone who's had 6 sets of Blackriver trucks, some sets having decks and wheels changed very regularly, these don't die. Or, I've never had a single problem and I'm sure that's not just crazy luck. If you did get a problem, I know BRR will fix it for you, but as long as you follow the instructions and use common sense I don't think you'll have a problem with them ever. These have lasted hours of outdoor beatings, crazy grinds, endless bowl carves, and constant fingerboarding, and could last a lot longer too. I've seen sets of 1.0s from 2009 that are still going! If they had a more medium bushing out the box, it'd be a perfect score, but just off that overall they get a 9.75/10
You can pick these up at loads of fingerboard shops, but go check Blackriver here :)
