So, you may remember a while back I wrote an article on flatface vinyl stickers. I remarked at the time that they might be a lot better than normal stickers, and, well, I was definitely right. Got one today, look:
In the second picture you can see how thin they are, at least half the thickness of a normal sticker. They're a bit smaller than the flatface shield stickers too, but I think it looks really good, it doesn't look crazily big on a deck like the normal shield stickers did.
The real reason I'm reviewing a sticker though? Performance. They're amazingly smooth to slide on, you wouldn't think you'd notice the difference from a normal sticker, but, you do. A lot. You don't notice they're there, whereas with some stickers you can. I imagine the same would come into play if you used them on ramps, rather than on a deck, you'd not feel them sliding/grinding over them, or riding over them on a mini ramp for example.
Overall? Worth getting, definitely. Its a shame for now they're only the flatface shield logo in black, but, hopefully some other colours and designs will come out. Regardless, pick one up next time you order from flatface, they're only one dollar. And a very well spent dollar indeed.
