Happy 3rd Birthday Unitefingerboarding!

Yup, time has flown by. Three years ago today, I wrote this post here. It's soo weird thinking how long ago that was, and how much has changed.

We're only a few thousand hits off 1.5 million total hits, just under 9000 total posts, and you guys have been supporting soo much since the start, I really couldn't be more happier to not only reach this milestone, but to look at all the amazing support I've got from people in the three years of running unite - as well as making amazing memories and friends. Last year we were just under 750,000, so that's 3/4 of a million hits in a year! Thankyou soo much everyone, whether you're new or a unite veteran, whether you've stuck from logos done in microsoft paint or you joined with the current theme, you're a part of this.

Also, I've got something sick for you guys to celebrate unite's birthday with.

What's this? Well, it's a fingerboard park, and it's always available to the public! Thanks to a collaboration with Campus Skatepark (where I volunteer/work), this fingerboard park is always in the park to ride, and we're open 7 days a week. You only have to pay £1 if you want to ride it (plus chill out in the skateshop or cafe) for a whole day, or you can pay to skate and then you can ride it as well. It's a simple yet really fun park, and as far as I'm aware the only public park in the UK at the moment. I know it's obviously not a big life changing deal for all you guys further afield in the UK from Bristol, but we work a lot with the core companies in the UK at Campus and who knows, it could be a great first step to seeing this sort of thing happen in other skateparks around the country. I hope you guys like it as well as I do - and if you cant make it to Bristol regularly this park will be at Crossed Fingers too!

I know I talked a lot about a huge project that was coming soon, and whilst this was part of it, unfortunately events of the last few weeks have lead to a very unfortunate situation and change I'll have to be making, which has basically cancelled half of this big project I'd worked on for ages. It sucks, and I'm really sorry to have hyped up what turned out to be nothing, but I hope you'll be stoked to see this park nonetheless. I tried super hard to keep the other project going, but unfortunately a lot more than this project is having to end soon by the looks of it. I'll explain that more soon when things are more concrete.

ANYWAY.. 3rd birthday should be happy, and for all you guys thinking 'oh, I don't care I wont ever ride this park..', I've got something for you too!

You can win this painted bottom (basically a bad refinish by me, but still a super nice deck to say the least) Blosom deck, complete with a Wide Trucks Setup Kit in one of the new colourways, and a Fingersized large Plant Pot. Want all that? Well, all you have to do is find a creative way to say happy birthday to unitefingerboarding with either a picture or video. It's gotta involve fingerboarding too, but otherwise the creativity is up to you. It's been fun doing this the past few years, so I'm gonna do it again - you've got until the 20th July to get your entries in: email them to kerry@unitefingerboarding.com, with the subject 'Unite's 3rd Birthday Competition'. Good luck to everyone!
