Turns out they're not entirely dead, here's a really sick 33mm split ply deck that popped up on FFI. Beautiful looking craftsmanship, an absence of decks being posted about definitely hasn't made these look any worse - maybe we'll see a stock soon? No word yet, but I certainly wouldn't complain.
