Tech Deck really are stepping up their game it seems. What is so special about these you might ask? Wooden 30mm decks (available in two concaves), BEARING WHEELS. Yes, you read that right, TD bearing wheels are finally a reality. Two hardnesses (the two hardnesses of the already mass produced china wheels maybe? Most likely a very similar thing), and, yea, apparently they're not bad. Which is what bothers me. I mean, they're not lathed wheels I'm almost certain, but to kids, this sort of product is just the kind of thing that makes them think our high end products aren't worth the money. We all know the high end products are worth the money, not just for their performance, but for what they do for the scene. This sort of thing has a potential to disuade kids from buying the products that continue to support fingerboarding, and yea, I cant be stoked on that to say the least.
Nonetheless, I am interested to see a set of these in person, shame nothing like this ever gets to the UK markets. Oh, and, I totally forgot the other interesting things - the trucks, they have PIVOT CUPS (pretty cool if you ask me, as it is TD) and they come with adjustable kingpins. I have no idea what that means, but I'm intruiged nonetheless!
