Jordan from redemption has been wanting to make skateboards and talking about it for a fair while, from what I've seen reading FFI back before I was on there, but, now the first part of his project is underway and hes almost finished making the mold! Looks really cool, I mean, we all see how fingerboards are made, but, I've only ever seen a video of one place where a skateboard is made, and you didn't really see the mold that much.
(that deck isn't one he made obviously, hes not finished the mold yet)
That looks really interesting, and, the price from what hes said is hoping to be $30-40 dollars. 30 would make it 20 quid or under, which is almost a third of what we pay for a decent priced skateboard in the UK (50 quid decks, yaaay.. Thank god one of my closest friends knows the owner of a skateshop and can get me 40% discount on decks, haha). I think its also really cool, as, it could get the word out about fingerboards to skateboarders, and really change the minds of skaters who don't like fingerboarding, if the same company owner makes good skate decks that they all start skating!
Heres looking forward to more awesome news on this project. For the mean time, go support Redemption and help him make this project a reality by buying something at
