Remember this article I wrote about the sony ericsson music video with fingerboarding in it, that Boris D and Nic H? Well, thanks to FBWeekly I saw that the video is out, as well as a bunch of really interesting interviews with the guys and showing some of what happened on set.
The video is a must watch though
The fingerboarding was totally different to what we're used to, as they had to wear shoes, so, they were constantly pointed totally vertical, rather than having their fingers flat. Which, as you can imagine, would make it really hard to fingerboard! BUT nonetheless they pulled off some really sick stuff, and the video came out amazingly! I love the fs tail near the end of the fingerboarding bit of the video, looks really realistic. And how cool would that park be to sesh?
Props to Boris + Nic for repping fingerboarding on such a widely seen media. Things like the closeup shots of berlinwood decks with the blackriver anchor graphic are going to get some people interested, and as soon as they find the blackriver site.. Its just great publicity for fingerboarding. And looked like it was a lot of fun to do as well! Thankyou to sony ericsson also, for unknowingly helping fingerboarding a fair bit.
